We, Mike and Sandra,  are both public school teachers by day and hobby farmers on the weekends and during school breaks. Sandra is originally from Costa Rica and Mike is a native Oregonian. In 2005 we purchased our ten and a half acres, uncertain of what the use for the land would be.  The only thing we knew for sure was that the farm location was beautiful and the space felt peaceful.  The prior owners had horses and cattle, so the natural thing to do at the time was to grow hay.  Fifteen years into our “country living” COVID helped us decide how we could continue developing our plan.  The lavender farm idea sparked during a picnic on our 20th wedding anniversary while visiting Wayward Winds Lavender farm in Newberg. It was then, surrounded by solitude, lavender and bees that we decided to jump in with both feet and take on this new adventure.  In October 2020,  we planted our test garden with 200 plants and 10 cultivars.  This allowed us to see what would grow well in our micro climate and since then the farm has expanded to over 3,000 plants and more than 30 cultivars.  We are excited by the continued development of our farm and look forward to offering our natural products to our community.
