Lavender Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
2 cups of milk
2 ounces of semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
1-2 tablespoons of Willamette Valley Lavender Syrup
A pinch of salt
Whipped cream (optional)
W.V. Culinary Lavender for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts steaming, approximately 5 minutes. Avoid boiling the milk.
Add the finely chopped chocolate to the steaming milk and whisk continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture turns smooth.
Gradually whisk in 1 tablespoon of the Willamette Valley Lavender Syrup along with a pinch of salt. Taste the mixture and add more syrup if desired for additional sweetness.
Pour the prepared hot chocolate into mugs and optionally top them with whipped cream. For an extra touch, garnish with a sprinkle of lavender flowers.
